Silly pencil. All you're good for right now is solving these blasted calculus riddles of infinite frustrations. I don't draw nearly as much as I used to, but I've still got those comic ideas in my head that I would most definitely like to work on when school lets out and I can take a breather. Draw. Ink. Photoshop a bit (for editing purposes, wewt), then, hopefully, tell a magical, fantabulous story that actually conveys what I'm trying to say.
It's been about 11 years since I made a comic. And I was in the fourth grade when I did. It was short, but the accomplishment! The achievement! The acclaim of my peers! That was definitely something of an ego boost, something that maybe I can get into again (when I've got the time; I've been challenged by a friend to produce a comic (of any length, I suppose) before a certain date in the summer). The only problem with that, I believe, is my lack of confidence in... illustrating, since it seems like I'm just imitating as opposed to creating something that fits what I want. Then again, it could be a convergence of many ideas, culminating into a single, new brand that I stamp the paper with in all of its artistic glory.
Comic Con is right around the bend. Am I ready? You betcher bottom dollar I am.
